Familia Zuccardi Aluvional Paraje Altamira  – Special Edition from Argentina’s Finest Terroir

Crafted in the prestigious Paraje Altamira, in the heart of Mendoza’s Uco Valley, this 100% Malbec from Familia Zuccardi is a standout expression of high-altitude Argentine winemaking. Grown on alluvial soils with clear stratification—ranging from 10 to 80 cm deep over a base of large calcareous stones—this wine captures the essence of its unique terroir.

Produced with minimal intervention, the grapes are moved entirely by gravity, fermented in concrete vats with native yeasts, and aged in a combination of barrels and concrete amphorae. The wine is bottled unfiltered, preserving its purity, texture, and authentic character.

On the nose, it offers a refined and complex bouquet of red fruits like strawberry, cherry, and plum, elegantly layered with fresh herbal notes, violet florals, and a striking mineral character—evoking wet stone and graphite. The palate is silky and juicy on entry, driven by a vibrant acidity and fine-grained tannins, giving it both structure and finesse. The finish is long, deep, and expressive, with a persistent sense of origin.

Thanks to its elegance and depth, this wine pairs beautifully with a wide range of dishes. Ideal companions include slow-cooked lamb, duck confit, wild mushroom risotto, filet mignon with truffle sauce, and grilled ribeye with chimichurri. It also complements more delicate preparations like roast pork with figs, beef bourguignon, or aged cheeses such as Comté or Manchego.

A wine of origin, elegance, and soul—perfect for those seeking depth, complexity, and a genuine taste of Mendoza’s finest terroir. Drink now or cellar for further evolution over the next decade
