Catena Zapata Malbec Argentino SPECIAL VINTAGE 2007 – The Legacy of Time

Catena Zapata Malbec Argentino SPECIAL VINTAGE 2007 – A masterpiece in a bottle, a legendary Malbec that embodies the essence of high-end Malbec. This exclusive collector’s edition originates from the historic Adrianna and Nicasia vineyards, two of the most prestigious terroirs in the Uco Valley. The combination of extreme altitude and limestone soils gives birth to a Malbec with unrivaled structure and elegance.

In the glass, it reveals a deep purple color with violet reflections. On the nose, an explosion of ripe black cherries, wild blackberries, and cassis, enveloped by notes of violets, graphite, and dark chocolate. Its 18-month aging in French oak barrels adds extraordinary complexity, with nuances of sweet spices, espresso, tobacco, and fine leather. On the palate, it is broad, silky, and endlessly lingering, with firm tannins and vibrant acidity that ensure magnificent aging potential.

A Malbec of this stature calls for exceptional pairings: Japanese Wagyu filet with truffle butter, slow-roasted venison with juniper berry sauce, or chargrilled Iberian pork with a fig balsamic reduction—dishes crafted for the most refined palates.

This SPECIAL VINTAGE 2007 is a true enological jewel, a one-of-a-kind masterpiece for collectors and lovers of outstanding Argentine Malbec. Only a few bottles available.
