Dv Catena Blanco Histórico Agrelo: A Heritage of Elegance
Discover the art of blending with Catena Zapata Blanco Historico, a unique creation that combines the freshness of Semillón (60%) and the sophistication of Chenin Blanc (40%). Crafted in the prestigious vineyards of Agrelo, Luján de Cuyo, this white wine is a true masterpiece from Catena Zapata, guided by renowned winemaker Alejandro Vigil.
Every detail in its production is a tribute to quality. Only 35% of the wine matures for 9 months in second and third-use French oak barrels in contact with the lees, adding complexity and a creamy texture. It is then aged in the bottle for another 9 months, achieving a perfect balance of freshness and depth.
Upon tasting, you’ll be captivated by delicate aromas of white peaches, wildflowers, and subtle hints of honey and toasted bread. On the palate, its vibrant acidity and mineral character combine with a long, elegant finish, ideal for the most refined tastes.
It’s the perfect companion for unforgettable dinners. It pairs exquisitely with lobster in lemon butter, scallops with cauliflower purée, or a delicate white truffle risotto. It also shines alongside baked sea bass with caper sauce or tarragon chicken.
