Description
A Malbec that celebrates exploration and individuality. Entretantos Malbec by Bodega Veralma captures the spirit of Argentina’s emerging wine regions, offering vibrant fruit, smooth tannins, and the authentic character of the high desert vineyards of Catamarca.
In the western valleys of Tinogasta, Catamarca, surrounded by the dramatic Andes and protected by the towering Seismiles mountain range, Bodega Veralma crafts wines that express a distinctive side of Argentina’s terroir.
Entretantos Malbec is produced from grapes grown at Finca La Aguadita, where intense sunlight, dry desert air, and wide temperature differences between day and night help develop grapes with concentrated color, balanced acidity, and rich flavor.
The grapes are harvested manually and carefully selected to ensure quality from the very beginning. After destemming, the fruit is transferred to stainless steel tanks where fermentation takes place under controlled conditions.
The wine undergoes 100% natural malolactic fermentation, which contributes to its round texture and soft mouthfeel. To add structure and subtle complexity, 50% of the wine is aged in French oak barrels for six months, followed by an additional six months of bottle aging before release.
In the glass, Entretantos Malbec reveals a deep red color with violet reflections, typical of high-quality Malbec. Aromas highlight ripe red fruits such as cherry, plum, and raspberry, complemented by delicate hints of vanilla and sweet spice from oak aging.
On the palate, the wine is elegant, approachable, and balanced, with smooth tannins and generous volume that make it easy to enjoy while still showing character and personality.
The name “Entretantos” reflects the brand’s philosophy: like a swallow that chooses a different path from the flock, this wine stands out for its origin, identity, and distinctive style.
