El Enemigo Bonarda "El Mirador" – A Powerful Expression of Argentina’s Bonarda

El Enemigo Bonarda Single Vineyard “El Mirador” is an exceptional 100% Bonarda crafted by Alejandro Vigil and Adrianna Catena. Sourced from the El Mirador vineyard in Rivadavia, Mendoza, at an altitude of 2,132 ft (650 meters), the sandy soils and ideal climate produce a wine of great character and finesse.

Fermented with wild yeasts at a controlled temperature of 82°F (28°C) over 15 days, followed by a 25-day maceration, this wine is aged for 12 months in 100-year-old foudres, which enhances its complexity while preserving freshness and varietal purity.

The wine shows a deep ruby color with aromas of black cherry, plum, and violet, complemented by subtle notes of spice and earth. On the palate, it is velvety and well-structured, with vibrant acidity and smooth tannins that lead to a long, elegant finish with hints of dark fruit and mineral nuances.

This Bonarda pairs beautifully with roasted lamb, grilled vegetables, hearty stews, and smoked cheeses. It also complements spiced sausages and Mediterranean-style dishes, making it a versatile choice for rich and flavorful meals.

El Enemigo Bonarda "El Mirador" offers a bold and refined taste of Argentina’s terroir, showcasing the potential of Bonarda beyond the usual expectations.
